Use the icons from different programs in your PC in other applications.

NirSoft Icons Extract is a small utility which scans the files and folders on your computer to extract the icons and cursors, then stores them in EXE, DLL , OCX , CPL , etc.

Just by running the application it will open a window where you define the search parameters, the folders or files you want to scan, and even specify the size of the icons, the number of colours and other options for more thorough searches. When finished, NirSoft Icons Extract will show the results, and you can view the properties of the selected icons, like information regarding the name of the program to which it belongs, the path where it's stored, the size in bytes, the colour and icon dimension.

Once you've obtained the desired icon with Nirsoft Icons Extract you can save it with the extension .ico or .cur on the hard drive of your computer to use in the application you want, or copy it to the Windows clipboard.

Note : The program is in English, but if you want on the page of the NirSoft Icons Extract author you can download a series of patches to translate it into other languages, among which are: Spanish, Galician, French, Portuguese, Italian, German etc
